There will be some unique musical experiences on offer to people staying in cheap hotels in Glasgow in January when the city hosts the Celtic Connections festival.
Visitors will be able to attend performances by a variety of artists and groups with links to Celtic music between January 14th and 31st.
Highlights of the festival will include the opening torchlight parade on January 14th, which will run through Glasgow city centre from George Square to Buchanan Street.
The opening concert will take place on the evening of January 14th, with Jim Sutherland's True North Orchestra set to perform at the Royal Concert Hall.
Music fans will be able to see performances by several other artists during the festival, including Carlos Nunez and The Shee (January 15th) and Bobby McFerrin (January 18th).
People who have a soft spot for musical theatre can pay a visit to Glasgow's Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre over the coming weeks to see Beauty and the Beast, which will run until January 3rd.
