Christmas 'wrapped Up' in Glasgow
The Glasgow City Marketing Bureau has claimed that the Scottish destination has Christmas "wrapped up" this year, offering everything that festive visitors could want or need.
In a 2007 survey carried out by Yellow Pages, Glasgow was voted the most satisfying Christmas shopping location outside London.
The city boasts a number of large malls, high street stores, designer boutiques and independent shops that people staying in cheap hotels in Glasgow can visit, all within a short walk of each other.
There will also be plenty of entertainment on offer in Glasgow over Christmas, including a pantomime version of Cinderella at the King's Theatre and a number of festive performances at the Royal Concert Hall.
Scott Taylor, chief executive of the Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, said: "Glasgow city centre is absolutely magical at this time of year, made all the more special by a feast of festive entertainment that would be hard to beat in the UK."
On November 12th, Glasgow's famous Buchanan Street hosted a parade of characters including Cinderella, the Snow Queen and of course Santa Claus to promote the city's Christmas offerings.
