Constable on the Beat in London
The considerable work of John Constable is on display at the Tate Britain in London from June through to the end of August.
Constable is one of the most famous and noted British painters and the new exhibition provides visitors to London the opportunity to see his seminal six-foot canvasses together.
Featuring a collection of 65 works by the master of landscape, this exhibition is a must for all fans of his work and is also an opportunity for those less acquainted with his paintings to discover why he is such a revered artist.
It is the first time that the six "six-footers" of Constable's work have been brought together for viewing at one time, giving visitors a unique insight into his thinking as he created the river Stour pictures as a progression of life along the Suffolk river.
Running through the summer in London, this exhibition is sure to be a favourite with tourists staying in the capital's many hotels.
