Cowal's About That Then?
Visitors to Scotland will never be short of places to walk with all those vast areas of mountains and glens, but those who like a bit of organised walking can enjoy choosing from a huge range of walks in the Cowal Walking Festival, running from October 5th to the 14th.
Set on the Cowal peninsula in the west of Scotland, close to the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the area is easily accessible from Glasgow and the central belt, yet offers superb scenery with mountains and lochs abounding and the sea never far away.
Not only does the event offer visitors staying in cheap hotels in the area a chance to enjoy a wide range of wild delights, but the festival also incorporates a huge range of after-hours entertainment, with music, arts, drama and film, plus the chance to sup a wee dram or two.
