Divas to Entertain London
Visitors to cheap hotels in London will be entertained by a tribute to some of the most influential and iconic female stars in showbiz history later this year.
Between June 25th and July 5th, the Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue will play host to Divas, a dance show dedicated to Edith Piaf, Marlene Dietrich and Judy Garland.
The show is separated into three acts, focusing on the work and individuality of the three singers and featuring original songs including La Vie en Rose, Falling in Love Again and Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
Divas is directed by Peter Schaufuss, who was an international ballet star himself in the 1970s and 80s.
Schaufuss has overseen a number of other West End productions, the most recent of which was last year's Satisfaction, which was choreographed to the music of the Rolling Stones.
Until June 7th, theatre fans staying in cheap hotels in London will be able to see The Vortex at the Apollo, a new production of Noel Coward's 1924 play starring Felicity Kendal.
