Edinburgh Boasts 'one of Britain's Best Public Gardens'
Edinburgh's Royal Botanic Gardens has been voted the second best public garden in Britain.
TripAdvisor revealed its list of Britain's top ten public gardens based on traveller popularity and site editors, saying that visitors now have the opportunity to visit natural attractions and enjoy "spectacular displays of autumn colours".
The site said that the Royal Botanic Gardens is renowned for its "horticultural excellence" and comprises some 70 acres of "beautifully landscaped grounds" just a mile from the city centre.

The Royal Botanic Gardens in Scotland's capital were ranked second in the TripAdvisor list behind Kew Gardens in London, with attractions in Cornwall, north Yorkshire and Gloucestershire also appearing in the list.
Luke Fredberg, TripAdvisor director of communications in Europe, said: "Britain is fortunate in having such a rich heritage of public gardens. The volume and range of reviews and opinions posted on TripAdvisor from around the world testify to their popularity as a visitor attraction."
