Edinburgh Explores Children's Theatre

Edinburgh explores children's theatre The city of Edinburgh will be exploring the culture and variety of children's theatre at a dedicated festival this year.

Running from May 24th until June 2nd, the Children's International Theatre Festival is the leading UK performing arts festival for children and will offer an unrivalled range of theatre productions from around the world.

The variety of shows on offer will feature and appeal to young people between one and 14 years of age.

A reproduction of some of Aesop's fables will be put on by England's Scamp Theatre, alongside other plays by groups from as far afield as Canada, Croatia, Italy, Denmark and Austria.

People staying in cheap hotels in Edinburgh can take their children to see the shows at a number of venues throughout the city, including the Lyceum, the Assembly Rooms and the Traverse Theatre.

After its stay in Edinburgh, the festival will tour Scotland until June 11th, visiting locations including Inverness, Glasgow and Falkirk.
