Edinburgh Hosts Comedy Hopefuls
Comedy fans should book their cheap hotels in Edinburgh soon if they want to see some potential stars of the future.
So You Think You're Funny? will be held at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre on August 13th.
This event is seen as one of the best stand-up comedy competitions for newcomers and will this year be presenting a special 21st birthday gala.
The contest has been a part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe since 1988 and has crowned some high-profile winners, including Peter Kay in 1997.
Other former winners of So You Think You're Funny? include Rhona Cameron, Lee Mack, Dylan Moran and Tommy Tiernan, all of whom are now established comedians and performers.
The Edinburgh Festival Theatre will host plenty more comedy events later in the year, including the Mighty Boosh live show on September 11th and 12th.
Visitors will then be entertained by Frankie Boyle on October 3rd and 4th.
