Edinburgh to Host Sevens Tournament
Sports fans staying in cheap hotels in Edinburgh can prepare themselves for some fast and frenetic action in May as the city hosts its leg of the IRB Sevens World Series.
The Scottish capital's Murrayfield stadium will be the final destination on the competition's tour between May 31st and June 1st.
Teams compete for the world title by accumulating points based on their performances at mini tournaments across the world, with events already having been held in New Zealand, South Africa, Hong Kong and others.
New Zealand are currently the leaders of the pack on 110 points, followed by South Africa, with England and Scotland in seventh and tenth positions respectively, with a total of 17 teams competing.
Murrayfield is the home of Scottish rugby union and regularly fills its 67,800 capacity for international games.
Sports fans enjoying a break in Edinburgh over the coming months may also being interested in visiting Tynecastle, the home of local Premier League side Hearts.
