Enjoy Scotland's Landscape at the Snowdrop Festival
Visitors to Scotland will be among those who are able to enjoy the Snowdrop Festival this month, with participating gardens throughout the country.
Book a cheap hotel in Edinburgh and visit the Royal Botanic Garden, which has specialist snowdrops and tour guides.
The garden's head of visitor services, Alan Bennell, said: "Cultivated snowdrops date back to Medieval times and signify the start of the transition period between winter and spring.
"To many people one snowdrop may seem the same as another but there are endless varieties to uncover."
Tourist board VisitScotland uses the festival to encourage people to "get out into the fresh air" and see more outdoor sights around Edinburgh and Scotland.
Visitors willing to journey further out of Edinburgh can visit the Cambo Estate in Fife and wander through a blanket of snowdrops by starlight or walk through 150 acres of parkland at Hopetoun House.
The festival runs until March 15th.
