Family-friendly Movies on the Menu in Manchester
Manchester could prove a popular short break destination for families this summer as it hosts the Family Friendly Film Festival.
This event, which is described by its organisers as "perfect for keeping your little monsters entertained during the holidays", will run from August 7th to 16th.
People staying in cheap hotels in Manchester will be able to take their kids to screenings of the best children's films from around the world, as well as creative workshops and other special events.
Highlights will include an Alice in Wonderland day in the town of Bury in Greater Manchester on August 7th, which will feature a Mad Hatter's tea party and a screening of the film at the Met.
The Manchester Museum at the University of Manchester will host several events during the Family Friendly Film Festival, including a screening of The Red Balloon on August 15th.
Parents who like to encourage creativity may want to take their young ones to the WFA Media and Cultural Centre on August 13th for a live action filmmaking workshop.
