Get into Jazz and Blues in Edinburgh
Edinburgh will be the place to be for fans of jazz and blues this summer as the city hosts a major music festival.
The 2009 Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival will run from July 31st to August 9th at various venues, including Queens Hall, the Jamhouse and Voodoo Rooms.
One of the main themes of this year's festival will be keyboards of every shape and size, from grand concert pianos to Hammond organs.
Musicians will be coming to Edinburgh from all over the world to participate in the festival, including Danish singer Sinne Eeg, who will perform at the Hub on July 31st.
The celebrations will really get underway on August 1st with a Mardi Gras carnival at the Grassmarket, followed by the Jazz On a Summer's Day concert at the Ross Theatre the following day.
One of the biggest names that people staying in cheap hotels in Edinburgh will be able to see at the Jazz and Blues Festival this year is Jools Holland, who will perform at the Playhouse on August 9th.
