Get the Adrenaline Running in Glasgow

Get the adrenaline running in Glasgow Visitors to Glasgow can be a part of an exciting and life-affirming event in September as the city hosts the Great Scottish Run.

This event, which is affiliated with charities including ChildLine and Macmillan Cancer Support, will comprise three separate races which will be held on September 6th and 7th.

The first challenge that people staying in cheap hotels in Glasgow will be able to see is the junior 3km race.

Last year, nearly 2,000 youngsters took part in this event. This year's race will begin near Glasgow's People Palace, pass through the Green and run alongside the River Clyde before coming to an end.

September 7th will see the more gruelling races hit the streets of Glasgow as the 10km and half-marathon events are held.

The courses for these runs will both start at George Square and end at Glasgow Green, crossing the River Clyde along the way and passing through destinations including Bellahouston Park and Pollok Country Park.

Last year's main races attracted an impressive 17,836 runners.
