Glasgow Gallery Displays Joseph Crawhall Pieces

Glasgow gallery displays Joseph Crawhall pieces The Burrell Collection in Glasgow is currently presenting a number of pieces by Joseph Crawhall as part of its annual winter display dedicated to the artist.

This year's show features a number of paintings depicting the tradition of the fox hunt.

A variety of pieces are included in the exhibition, from portrayals of 'the meet' that takes place before the hunt to portraits of fox hounds and puppies.

People staying in cheap hotels in Glasgow will be able to see the display until February 14th next year.

Crawhall is described by the Glasgow Museums group as "a brilliant and inventive water-colourist".

He was part of the collective known as the Glasgow Boys, who were based in and around the city between 1880 and 1900.

People visiting the destination over the coming weeks can also head to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum to see the Doctor Who Exhibition, which will run until January 4th 2010.
