Areas of Interest in Glasgow
Charing Cross is on the western end of Sauchiehall Street close to the Mitchell library that is Europe’s largest reference library.
Overlooking it is the grand Charing Cross Mansions, the first red sandstone tenement building in Glasgow. Around the corner from here is the Tenement Museum at 145 Buccleuch Street.
Sauchiehall Street is Glasgow’s most famous street. The street is full of all the major high street names, and is home also to Miss Cranstons Willow TeaRooms. Glasgow’s famous son Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed these TeaRooms
Also on Sauchiehall street is the city’s first skyscraper art deco style building the Beresford Hotel.

Getting from the Airport
Train
The nearest train station to the Airport is at Paisley, which is 2 miles away. A taxi to the station is about 8 Euro.
Taxi
There is a taxi rank in front of the station, which operates 24 hours. The cost of a taxi into the centre of Glasgow will cost about 22 Euro.
Bus
The Scottish Citylink 905 Airport Express departs opposite the arrival terminal every 10 minutes and costs 6.50 Euro and arrives at Buchanan Street Station.
