Hotel Brand Unveiled

A new brand of hotel has been launched across the UK, it has been announced.

Hilwood Hotels has been unveiled by former Hand Picked Hotels directors as part of a joint venture with property group Delancey.

Gregor Ritchie, former operations director at Hand Picked, and group finance director Arvinder Walia are to become the new venture's joint managing directors.

The company has already made its first acquisition, taking on the 118-bedroom Grand in St Helier, Jersey, in a deal worth £15.5 million.

"We look forward to building the portfolio and adding value through our joint asset management skills, carving out a sophisticated signature brand combining the very best facilities and service at the high end of the market place," Mr Ritchie commented to CatererSearch.com.

It is understood that the new company is looking to acquire a portfolio of hotels in the four to five star categories across the UK that it can then operate under its brand name.
