'Huge Response' to Edinburgh Festival

Tickets have almost sold out for one of Scotland's biggest cultural events, the Edinburgh International Festival.

Those looking to attend the occasion are being advised to book their cheap hotels quickly to avoid being disappointed.

Officials said that many of the tickets, which went on sale this weekend, have already been snapped up – with attendees queuing outside the box office early to ensure their entrance.

The festival has seen a "huge response", according to organisers, who have already raked in £250,000 from ticket sales.

Edinburgh is a popular city to visit at any time of year but cheap hotel rooms are often snapped up in record time when the festival is being held.

Festival goers will flock to the Scottish hub from August 8th to August 31st to enjoy numerous activities from dance shows, to theatrical performances and concerts.

Artists from Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bosnia and Georgia, Lebanon, Turkey, Palestine, Israel and Iran are all expected to entertain at this year's show.
