In London, Everyone Can Hear You Scream

In London, everyone can hear you scream Those who fancy something a little spooky when enjoying a trip to London can brave a trek which will send shivers down the spine.

London Ghost Walks include guided tours of many sites in the city and are run throughout the year, but many will consider October the most appropriate time to take a trip down scary street.

A wide choice of walks is on offer, with the London Walks website offering such blood-freezing delights as The City of Dreadful Night, which starts in the Tower of London, The Alleyways and Shadows Walk, which includes the joyous Devil's Passage and a possible encounter with a she-wolf, or of course the annual Halloween walk led by ghost expert Richard Jones.

Visitors staying in cheap hotels in London (most of which are not said to be haunted) can of course combine the trip with plenty of non-spooky activities, from experiencing the view from the London Eye to enjoying the art on offer at one of the two Tate Galleries (where the moving eyes in portraits are, of course, just a trick of the imagination…maybe).
