It's Berry Good
Midsummer Common is the place to be in Cambridge in the midsummer month as June 2nd 2007 sees the Strawberry fair take place.
The event is about more than red fruit - it's a free festival of music, arts and crafts, with a particular focus on being family friendly.
While a large cast of bands keeps the music playing, street and circus style entertainers wander the common bringing laughter and merriment and a variety of stalls selling all kinds of goodies.
Apart from the festival, visitors staying in cheap hotels in Cambridge can enjoy the sights and gentle rhythms of this historic city.
University buildings dominate the scene, with some outstanding architecture dating back centuries and some of the colleges being open to visitors.
A bit of relaxation is never hard to find, with lots of large open green spaces and punting down the river Cam on offer.
