Last Chance to Get a Taste of the Orient in York
Holidaymakers are being urged book their cheap hotels in York and head to the city's celebration of all things Chinese.
Held until April 6th, the Chinese Festival at the National Railway Museum will give visitors the opportunity to learn all about Chinese culture.
The event is being put on to mark the 2008 Olympic Games, which this year are taking place in Beijing.
Families are welcome to bring their youngsters who can also get stuck in to various activities which are both educational and fun.
Among the activities on offer are Chinese dragon and opera mask making as well as the opportunity to stand on the footplate of a Chinese railway engine.
Other events relating to China will continue to be held up until the end of the year, the museum says, although the Festival will come to an end next week.
The National Railway Museum also has a gift shop and restaurant.
