London Theatre Looks at the Magic of Light
Families staying in cheap hotels in London this summer will be able to keep the younger members of their party entertained with a visit to the new play Brilliant at the Polka Theatre for Children.
This production is the work of Fevered Sleep, a theatre company that takes everyday experiences as starting points for inventive performances.
In Brilliant, the starting point is the simple act of switching off a light at bedtime.
The performers in the play use this as their inspiration for a depiction of the mystery and intrigue of night-time and an exploration of a world made entirely of light.
Brilliant is a piece of visual theatre that uses live music, innovative lighting, movement and rich performances to provide a unique experience for audiences.
It is the latest piece in a trilogy of work created for young audiences by Fevered Sleep.
Visitors to London will find the Polka Theatre for Children on the Broadway in Wimbledon, south-west London, where Brilliant is showing from July 10th until August 16th.
