London Welcomes Russia's Finest
London will be playing host to some of the finest pieces of art ever to go on display in Russia over the coming months.
Until April 18th, people staying in cheap hotels in London will be able to visit the From Russia exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts.
This show will present modern masterpieces from Russia's principal collections - the Pushkin State Museum of Fine art and the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow and St Petersburg's State Hermitage Museum and State Russian Museum.
Never before have pieces from these collections all been gathered together for a single exhibition.
The collection includes work by some of the most influential artists ever, including Renoir, Cezanne, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Matisse and Kandinsky.
More than 120 paintings will comprise the entire display, which covers the main directions of modern art and explores movements including Impressionism and Realism.
