Macbeth Comes to Edinburgh
Theatre lovers staying in cheap hotels in Edinburgh this autumn will be able to enjoy one of William Shakespeare's greatest and most exciting works.
Macbeth will be staged at the Royal Lyceum Theatre from September 12th to October 11th.
This well-known tale follows the title character as he receives a prophecy from three witches, telling him that he will gain great power and eventually become king of Scotland.
Macbeth and his power-hungry wife eventually become obsessed with the divination and show that they are willing to do whatever is necessary to ensure it is realised.
The Lyceum Theatre production of the play will be directed by Lucy Pitman-Wallace, who has worked at RSC Sadler's Wells, York Theatre Royal and the Nottingham Playhouse.
Liam Brennan will play the title character, while Allison McKenzie will play the scheming Lady Macbeth.
