Mary Rose to Visit Edinburgh
People who like nothing more than being spooked at the theatre should get their cheap hotels in Edinburgh booked and head to the Lyceum Theatre around the Halloween period.
Mary Rose will be staged at the Lyceum from October 24th to November 15th.
This eerie tale sees Peter Pan creator JM Barrie returning to the theme of the ageless child that he explored in his most famous work.
The story begins with a family holiday that is disrupted by the mysterious disappearance of a young girl, Mary Rose.
While the girl is reunited with her parents, no explanation of her disappearance is ever given and the mystery surrounding the event emerges once again when Mary Rose grows up and receives a proposal of marriage.
People interested in finding out more about the scientific context to the themes in the play should try to attend on October 28th, when a pre-show talk will be given by Dr Caroline Watt of Edinburgh's Koestler Parapsychology Unit.
There will be a post-show discussion with members of the cast on November 4th.
