Meet Ansel Adams in Edinburgh
People staying in cheap hotels in Edinburgh in the coming months will be able to introduce themselves to the work of Ansel Adams.
A show called Celebration of Genius will explore Adams' work at the City Art Centre from February 9th until April 19th.
Adams' pictures are among the most recognisable in all photography, with his landscapes and other shots of nature rarely failing to captivate and enthral viewers.
A total of 150 photographs will be included in the Edinburgh exhibition, spanning the artist's working life from the 1920s to the 1960s.
The display will present an opportunity for lovers of Adams' work to see the real-life prints of some of his original images, rather than the versions that appear in books and on posters.
Some of the artist's famous images of the American west will be included in the exhibition, including his picture of a moonrise in New Mexico and Mount Williamson shot from Manzanar, California.
