New Ski Options for Edinburgh
Travellers looking to hit the slopes, or maybe just indulge in a little apres-ski might want to take advantage of a new range of flights to major French resorts from Edinburgh.
As part of an expansion of their Edinburgh service, FlyGlobespan is set to more than double the number of flights over the winter months, as well as offering a new daily route to popular resort Chambery.
The airline is also to make flights to Alicante and Malaga daily, while offering a twice-weekly route to Faro, Murcia, Tenerife and Palma and once-a-week flight to Lanzarote.
Richard Jeffrey, managing director of Edinburgh Airport, told the Ediburgh Evening News: "Flyglobespan is one of Scotland's great success stories and we look forward to working with them to ensure these exciting new services are a success."
Flyglobespan chairman, Tom Dalrymple, added: "Flying straight to Chambery can save up to half the transfer time it normally takes to get to a number of popular resorts. I am sure it will prove a great addition to the Flyglobespan schedule."
The airline is also expanding its acumen in other airports, with news that a new flight from Manchester to Capetown will take-off in November.
