One Magic Summer in London
The mayor of London has launched a series of events to be held in the capital's most famous square this summer.
Boris Johnson unveiled One Magic Summer, a programme of activities, performances and entertainment to be held in Trafalgar Square this month.
People staying in cheap hotels in London can pick up a deckchair, sit by the square and relax while enjoying the many events taking place until the end of August.
These include street theatre, magic tricks, comedy performances and music concerts, all being held to remind visitors of the British summers of days gone by.
Mr Johnson said: "With deckchairs and quirky performers, this is the best of our holidays seen through the prism of childhood recollections; a trip to the beach, a weekend expedition in the camper van, a ramble in the countryside - and a few mystifying magic tricks."
One Magic Summer is being held each Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday until the end of the month, as well as Bank Holiday Monday on August 31st.
