Playful Theatre Antics

Playful theatre antics Families looking for something that will keep the kids fully occupied should head to Edinburgh for the Bank of Scotland Children's International Theatre Festival.

Held between May 19th and 28th at a number of venues across the city, which boasts plenty of cheap hotels, this unique festival features a wide array of musical and theatre performances and activities for all the family.

Attendees can take their youngest ones to the Baby Rave at the Assembly Rooms, or perhaps check out a dozen scary stories written by schoolchildren and acted out by adults at the Traverse Theatre.

The Traverse Theatre also plays host to a performance where the actors try - and fail - to make sure that nothing happens, while a new take on the classic tale of Jason and the Argonauts is also set for the same venue.

Parents with particularly young kids can ensure that they stay safe at a free creche for the under-fives, while a range of touch tours are also available.
