Plenty to Harp on About
Those who love the most time-honoured forms of music may find a trip to Edinburgh in the spring tickles their fancy, as the 26th Edinburgh International Harp Festival takes place.
Held from March 30th to April 4th, the event sees a wide variety of concerts, workshops and styles of harp music from the various celtic nations and beyond, all taking place at Merchiston Castle School.
Visitors will be able to learn all about the instrument itself, try their hand at playing the instrument or improve existing technique, as well as enjoying a ceilidh or two.
Outside the festival, Edinburgh offers a wealth of historic and modern attractions.
The castle and the Royal Mile are among the historic sights in the city, while the grandest views are to be had from Arthur's seat, perched like a miniature piece of the highlands right in the heart of the city.
Visitors can also see the most modern building in town, the new parliament building at Holyrood.
