Poetry Event to Be Held in Edinburgh

Poetry event to be held in Edinburgh Visitors booking cheap hotels in Edinburgh will soon be able to take advantage of a series of poetry readings, it has been reported.

According to the Edinburgh Evening News the new St Andrew Square Garden will play host to the readings which will be held in June.

The literary celebration will be combined with the formal opening ceremony for the garden and will also feature displays of poetry by local writers.

It has received support from a number of local groups, according to the newspaper, including the Scottish Poetry Library, Edinburgh UNESCO City of Literature Trust, Edinburgh City Centre Management and the Edinburgh International Book Festival.

Those heading to cheap hotels in Edinburgh this summer can also enjoy the Edinburgh International Books Festival, which takes place in Charlotte Square Gardens over three weeks in August.

This year there will be more than 700 events at the festival, as well as 600 authors and over 40 different countries represented.
