Prepare for An Audience with the Mafia

Prepare for An Audience with the Mafia Anybody with an interest in the frightening history of the Mafia should ensure they get their cheap hotels in London and theatre tickets booked quickly to catch a limited-run, one-man show on the topic.

Between January 21st and February 16th next year, An Audience with the Mafia will show at the Apollo Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue.

Narrated by 'the Mercy Man', a character reportedly based on a real Mafia assassin, this show will chronicle the story of organised crime, from its origins in Sicily to its place in modern society.

All sorts of morbidly fascinating subjects will be touched upon during the performance, including the gang wars of the 1920s and the true relationship that existed between Frank Sinatra and the mob.

The audience will be introduced to a number of individuals who have been immortalised in modern culture, including Al Capone, Charles 'Lucky' Luciano and Benjamin 'Bugsy' Siegel.

An Audience with the Mafia's short run at the Apollo Theatre will be followed by The Vortex, a Noel Coward play that focuses on the turbulent relationship between a mother and her son.
