The Celtic Connections event features the very best of Scottish creative talents alongside various artists from around the world.

Coming back to Glasgow for the 15th time next year, the Celtic Connections festival will take place at 14 venues around the famous Scottish city.

Among the highlights this year will be a performance by local foursome Teenage Fanclub, who will be playing at the Old Fruitmarket on January 26th.

People staying in hotels in Glasgow for the festival will also be able to celebrate Scotland's transatlantic links on February 1st, as the Royal Concert Hall hosts a line-up of Celtic and American stars, including soul and country diva Joan Osborne.

Visitors with an interest in African culture should check out Senegalese singer Baaba Maal at the Royal Concert Hall on January 21st.
