Row, Row, Row Your Boat (very Fast)
Visitors to London on April 7th 2007 will have a very good reason to head down to the River Thames if they have any interest in rowing, or any connection with Oxbridge, as the 153rd boat race takes place at 16:30 BST
Despite its age, the event has lost none of its stature as the two famous institutions battle it out for supremacy in the capital over between Putney and Mortlake, with spectators being able to enjoy the view from either bank or any of the bridges along the route.
Oxford won last year but Cambridge leads 78-73 overall.
Visitors staying in cheap hotels in or around the capital will also be able to enjoy a number of attractions in West London.
These include Kew with its gardens and the National Archives to the south, or, slightly north, Knightsbridge and Harrods.
Both the course of the race and nearby attractions are well connected by public transport, including both the underground and mainline railways.
