Sample a Famous Taste of Scotland
People staying in cheap hotels in Edinburgh will be able to sample some national flavour this year at the Famous Taste of Scotland concert.
This celebration of Scottish music, costume, dancing and history will be on show at Prestonfield House in the capital city until October 8th.
Among the performers in the concert are world champion pipers and highland dancers, accordionist Ken McGinty, the Wee Highlanders and the Three Scottish Tenors.
Fans of music will be well served if they decide to visit Edinburgh in October, with plenty of cultural events and performances scheduled to take place.
Among the highlights will be a show by Dirty Pretty Things at the Picture House on October 5th, a Charlatans gig at the same venue on October 11th and a performance by Mogwai at the Corn Exchange on October 21st.
Those who prefer their music to have a more classical flavour can visit Greyfriars Kirk on October 8th and 9th to attend a concert by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.
