Scotland to Host First Spring Lantern Festival

Scotland to host first spring lantern festival Visitors staying in cheap hotels in Edinburgh will soon have the opportunity to experience Scotland's first Chinese spring lantern festival.

This event will see light and nature combine to stunning effect in the Scottish capital's Royal Botanic Garden.

Visitors will be able to go on a journey through the garden's glasshouses and learn more about the botanical wealth of China.

The beauty of Chinese plants and the magical appeal of traditional lanterns combine to create a serene and peaceful atmosphere during this festival, which runs from February 22nd to March 9th.

Edinburgh's Royal Botanic Garden incorporates 70 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds and a variety of themed areas.

Among them is the rock garden, the herbaceous border and the arboretum – the display of trees – in the former grounds of Inverleith House.
