Shake It All About
Fans of Shakespeare can enjoy three whole days of immersion in the world of the famous bard between May 23rd and the 26th in his home town of Stratford-on-Avon.
Run by the Shakespeare centre, the Living Shakespeare course involves lectures and courses in all things Shakespeare, enabling fans of the literary legend to discover more than they ever could have imagined about the life, times and works of the bard.
As well as the courses themselves, the town of Stratford is packed with attractions honouring its most famous son.
Several buildings in the town are associated with Shakespeare, including his birthplace and the home of his wife, Anne Hathaway, plus his burial place in Holy Trinity Church.
Visitors staying in cheap hotels in the town can also enjoy a performance of one of his plays at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, which lies on the banks of the River Avon, a fine place for an afternoon stroll while contemplating lines from Macbeth or King Lear.
