Take a Loch at This
Golf fans will get the chance to see some of the top names in the sport amid beautiful scenery when the Barclays Scottish Open takes place from July 11th to 15th on the Loch Lomond course at Luss.
Leading players competing last year included Ryder Cup heroes Thomas Bjorn, Darren Clarke and Sergio Garcia, although it was unheralded Swede Johan Edfors who took the prize.
According to the championship website, tickets cost £56.70 for all four championship days or £22.50 for one day.
The course runs alongside the waters of Britain's largest lake, Loch Lomond, which is part of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the first such park in Scotland and home to a wide range of attractions for visitors staying in cheap hotels along the shore.
More energetic visitors can climb Ben Lomond or one of the many other mountains in the park, while water lovers can take boat trips, go water skiing or spend a day fishing.
