Thomas and Friends Chug into Edinburgh
People staying in cheap hotels in Edinburgh with young children in tow will face a Herculean task if they hope to distract their young ones from the fact that Thomas the Tank Engine will be pulling into town in May.
The Thomas and Friends Live show will be staged six times between May 9th and 11th.
This show features every child's favourite engine as the central attraction, of course, along with the likes of Percy, Diesel and the Fat Controller.
A full 90 minutes of musical entertainment comprises the show, including popular sing-along tunes such as Roll Call and Good Morning, which accompany the story of Thomas and friends' preparations of the island of Sodor's railway for the Magic Lantern festival.
The Thomas and Friends Live tour kicks off in Birmingham on March 19th and also visits the Hammersmith Apollo in London, the Manchester Opera House, the Bristol Hippodrome and more.
Visitors interested in some slightly more 'grown-up' entertainment can find the Solid Silver 60s Show, featuring Gerry and the Pacemakers, Dave Berry and others, at the Edinburgh Playhouse on May 5th.
