UK 'offers Everything Tourists Could Want'
Tourism association UKinbound has emphasised the quality of the UK as a holiday destination, saying that it offers everything travellers could want.
Philip Green, chairman of the organisation, expressed his belief that the UK is simply the best tourist destination in the world.
Elaborating on the specific attractions of the UK, Mr Green said it boasts "fantastic sites, great history and great culture", which are regularly enjoyed by people staying in cheap hotels in York and other cities.
He added: "We are still one of the leading nations in terms of fashion and sport. We are innovative, we are developing restaurants and dining experiences.
"Everything that people could want is available here in the UK, from countryside to major towns."
VisitBritain is launching a major campaign this year to attract visitors to the UK from Europe to take advantage of the strength of the euro.
The agency recently said that it is expecting the new film The Young Victoria, which showcases historic destinations all over England, to have a positive effect on tourism.
