Warm Up with Some Winter Ales in Manchester

Warm up with some winter ales in Manchester Fans of a drop of genuine beer and ale will be in their element in Manchester come January as the city hosts the National Winter Ales Festival 2008.

The event is organised by the Campaign for Real Ale, which claims that there will be something to suite everyone's tastes among the selection of 200 beers, ciders, perrys and ales.

Every type of tipple that alcohol aficionados could imagine will be on offer, including British beers, bitters, stout, porter, old ale and speciality beverages.

There will be ciders and perrys (which uses pears rather than apples) from all over the UK, meads and even a few foreign beers.

People staying in cheap hotels in Manchester can find the National Winter Ales Festival at the New Century Hall between January 16th and 19th.

There will be a number of entertainment options to keep revellers happy throughout the weekend, including blues rock outfit Bad Dog and folk band Curragh Sons.
