York Gets Literary in March

York gets literary in March People staying in cheap hotels in York in March will have the chance to boost their knowledge of all things literary.

Between March 1st and 15th, the city will host its annual Literature Festival, which will include over 40 events at venues across the city.

There will be occasions aimed at families and children as well as writing workshops for those interested in developing their own skills.

A number of national authors will share their insights and experiences during the two-week event, as well as local writers based in York.

Among the highlights for 2008 will be talks by Joolz Denby and Joan Siddique at the National Railway Museum and appearances by Jean Saunders and Christopher Rush at Waterstone's.

Those with an interest in the history and culture of York can also take part in a guided tour to the city's locations of literary merit.
