York Theatre Royal presents Twelfth Night A production of Twelfth Night will be presented at the York Theatre Royal this year.

People with a passion for Shakespeare may be interested in seeing a new production of Twelfth Night at the York Theatre Royal later this year.

Directed by Juliet Forster, the staging of one of the Bard's most popular and oft-produced comedies will open at the Theatre Royal on April 25th and run to May 16th.

The play begins with a violent storm that leaves Viola stranded on the shores of Illyria, lost and separated from her twin brother Sebastian.

Viola disguises herself as a boy and takes a place in the court of the local duke, leading to a succession of unusual, romantic and funny developments as the heroine attempts to improve both her own and her brother's love life.
