A Hole in Two

Visitors to Las Vegas in October will be able to see a golf tournament with a difference - it's played on two different courses.

Known as the Frys.com open following a change of sponsor, the event is a charity contest raising money for Shriners Hospitals for Children and featuring a combination of top professional and amateur golfers, played at the TPC Summerlin and TPC Canyons courses.

Won last year by Troy Matteson, this year's tournament takes place from October 11th to 14th, with a total prize fund of $4 million (£2 million).

When not watching little white balls flying around the green spaces and rolling into holes, visitors staying in cheap hotels can enjoy a vast range of attractions and entertainments in one of the liveliest cities on the planet.

Many will enjoy a visit to the huge casinos for a flutter, but Las Vegas also offers a wide range of accompanying entertainment, food and drink, ensuring that no visitor ever need have an idle moment in the city.
