A Whole New Bill Game
Visitors to Buffalo have a chance to take in an unusual sporting experience in early October.
On October 8th the game known to Americans as football - despite the foot rarely being the part of the anatomy used to propel the ball - will be in evidence as the Buffalo Bills take on the Dallas Cowboys at the Ralph Wilson Stadium, with the game due to start at 20:30 local time.
Those heading to the stadium will need to brush up on the rules and terminology quickly to learn their touchdowns from first downs, line backers from quarter backers.
After an evening spent watching the padded and helmeted giants a bit of quiet contemplation and enjoyment of nature may be in order.
Fortunately, Buffalo is a city close to lots of wonderful scenery, set on the banks of Lake Erie, one of the great lakes, while the Niagara River is close by, with Niagara Falls further upstream.
