Anglomania Grips New York
Anyone who is planning a trip a hotel in New York and is concerned about being homesick should visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Fifth Avenue.
Anglomania is a new fashion event at the New York museum and gives visitors the chance to marvel at Britain's heritage of fashion design.
To kick off the event in style, the Costume Institute hosted a celebrity-studded ball at the museum on Monday night.
Those to attend the event included fashion designers Vivienne Westwood, John Galliano and Stella McCartney.
Other famous names to represent Britain included actor Rupert Everett, singer Bryan Ferry, the actress Liz Hurley and model Kate Moss.
"London has always had the most creative, most entertaining and most humour in its fashion," said Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
There are a number of events going on in the Big Apple throughout the year. Now may be a perfect time to book your place in one of the many hotels in New York.
