Seeing a show on Broadway in New York is a popular tourist attraction and visitors to the city could be among those to enjoy Arthur Miller's classic play.

The story tells the tale of 1955 America. An Italian American longshoreman, Eddie Carbone lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Beatrice and orphaned niece, Catherine, with whom Eddie is obsessed.

Beatrice invites two illegal immigrant cousins to their house and Catherine falls in love with one of them, leading Eddie to destruction.

Playing the role of Eddie is Scream actor Liev Schreiber, while Oscar-nominated Scarlett Johansson plays Catherine.

A View From The Bridge was originally staged in 1955 on Broadway and revived in 1997 with Antony La Paglia and Brittany Murphy as its stars, earning a Tony Award.

The play is showing at the Cort Theatre in Manhattan until April 4th.
