Ballet Good Show
When it comes to ballet and cities starting with M, most would think of Moscow and the Bolshoi, but Miami offers a somewhat sunnier location to see this form of dance in action, when the Miami International Ballet Festival takes place from August 29th to September 16th 2007.
Of course, the Floridian location provides not just warmer weather but a distinct latin feel, with the festival hosted by the Miami Hispanic Ballet Corporation.
Running since 1993, the festival has become one of the world's biggest ballet events and attracts top names, with founder Pedro Pablo Pena making such a success of the event that he has been awarded the key to the city, the corporation website states.
As well as the festival, Miami offers a wide range of attractions for visitors staying in cheap hotels.
These range from enjoying the rest of the vibrant Hispanic (especially Cuban) cultural scene, including music, literature and food, to the fine weather, beaches and watersports.
