Beatles Bring Love to Las Vegas

Beatles bring Love to Las Vegas The Beatles will soon join Mamma Mia, Celine Dion and Hairspray on the renowned Las Vegas strip.

Tickets have now gone on sale for Love, a theatre collaboration of music from the Beatles and an acrobatic show from the Cirque du Soleil, reports the Associated Press.

This will be the first major theatrical partnership for the famous four's record label, Apple Corps, which has until now guarded the band's collection.

In order to create the show, the Beatles' original producer, Sir George Martin, and his son Giles have accessed the entire archive of tunes.

"Love is really the strongest theme of what the Beatles used to create their songs. From their first song, their first success, it was about love, to the last song they recorded," creative director Gilles Ste-Croix reportedly said in an interview.

Aerial acrobats and dancers will move to video images that will be projected on 100-foot-tall screens in a 2,013-seat theatre in the round that took over two years to build.

Roller skating and BMX bikes will also appear while montages of the Beatles play through over 6,000 sources of sound.

The show will premiere on June 30th at the Mirage hotel-casino, with an international cast of 60 performers.
