Las Vegas loves to flex its muscles as one of the world's entertainment capitals, but never more so than when Joe Weider's IFBB Olympia hits town.
This year the Olympia, the biggest bodybuilding competition in the world, will be held in October, with the titles of Mr Olympia, Ms Olympia, Fitness Olympia and Figure Olympia up for grabs, with $425,000 (£223,000) and a car being the top prizes.
Famous past winners of the competition include Arnold Schwarzenegger, who terminated all opposition between 1970 and 1975, and visited the competition again in 2004.
Olympia Expo, with hundreds of stalls showing off the latest nutritional wonders, will run in parallel with the competition.
Apart from the display of immense muscle, a trip to Vegas offers everything the hedonistic thrill seeker could wish for, with the casinos and entertainment complexes as prominent as ever.
In this, America's fastest growing city, there is no lack of accommodation including plenty of cheap hotels.
