Body Worlds Show Heads to State of New York
The acclaimed Body Worlds exhibition will make its debut in the state of New York next month.
Body Worlds and The Story of the Heart, which has already been seen by more than 27 million people worldwide, will come to the Buffalo Museum of Science in New York state on July 9th for a limited run.
The exhibition is made possible through the use of plastination, a process developed by Dr Gunther von Hagens that allows human bodies to be preserved after death.
Visitors can learn more about the inner structures and functions of their bodies by looking at more than 200 authentic human specimens in the display, including whole anatomies that have been preserved through plastination.
The exhibition that will open in Buffalo also features a section dedicated to the heart, looking at how the organ regulates and sustains life.
Travellers staying in cheap hotels in New York City can reach Buffalo by heading north-west, a trip that can also include a visit to Lake Erie or Niagara Falls.
